Resolution

Remote Support (isi remotesupport) has configured the following Gateway Access Pool(s) which could not be found: subnet0.pool0
If not resolved the upgrade to OneFS 8.2.0 may encounter an error shortly after the first node reboots.
Remote Support (isi remotesupport) has configured the following Remote Support Subnet which could not be found: subnet0
SRS (isi esrs) has configured the following Gateway Access Pool(s) which could not be found: subnet0.pool0

The network pool (OneFS 8 and later) or network subnet (OneFS 7) configured for remote connectivity could not be found in the list of network pools or network subnets.  Review the Remote Support (isi remotesupport) or SRS (isi esrs) settings and the network pools/subnets settings and then modify the settings for remote connectivity as needed.

During OneFS upgrades from earlier than OneFS 8.2 to OneFS 8.2 or later, shortly after the first node reboots the cluster will enter a mixed configuration mode to enable it to support both source and destination OneFS version configurations.  Regardless of whether Remote Support (isi remotesupport) is enabled or not, if it has configured network pools which no longer exist, the OneFS upgrade will encounter an error when attempting to enter the mixed configuration mode.  To address this issue it is recommended to make corrections to the Remote Support (isi remotesupport) settings prior to initiating the OneFS upgrade.

SRS (isi esrs) is enabled, but no Gateway Access Pools are configured
Remote Support (isi remotesupport) is enabled, but no Gateway Access Pools are configured
Remote Support (isi remotesupport) is enabled, but no Remote Support Subnet is configured

The method for remote connectivity that is enabled may not have any network pools/subnets configured for its use.
Depending on whether it is enabled for SRS (isi esrs) or RemoteSupport (isi remotesupport), review the output of the appropriate command to confirm whether any network pools/subnets are configured for its use:
  • For SRS (isi esrs) run the following command: isi esrs view
  • For RemoteSupport (isi remotesupport) run the following command: isi remotesupport connectemc view
If there is no network pool (OneFS 8 and later) or network subnet (OneFS 7) configured for remote connectivity use, modify the settings to include a pool or subnet that is appropriate for remote connectivity use.

SRS (isi esrs) has configured the following Gateway Access Pool(s) which are not configured with a System Access Zone: subnet0.pool0
Remote Support (isi remotesupport) has configured the following Gateway Access Pool(s) which are not configured with the System Access Zone: subnet0.pool

Network pools configured for remote connectivity must be associated with the System access zone.  Review the network pools and reconfigure remote connectivity method to use only network pools which are associated with the System access zone.

SRS (isi esrs) is enabled, but the SRS Daemon service is disabled and should be enabled for DialHome functionality
To enable the SRS Daemon service run the following command: isi services -a isi_esrs_d enable
RemoteSupport (isi remotesupport) is enabled, but the ConnectEMC service is disabled and should be enabled for DialHome functionality
To enable the ConnectEMC service run the following command: isi services -a connectemc enable

When a remote connectivity method is enabled, it also requires a service enabled for it's functionality.  Enable the service indicated to avoid interruption to DialHome functionality.

RemoteSupport (isi remotesupport) is enabled, but the RemoteSupport event channel is disabled and should be enabled for DialHome functionality.
To enable the RemoteSupport event channel run the following command: isi event channel modify RemoteSupport --enabled=true

The RemoteSupport event channel is used to send events back to Dell EMC.  If the RemoteSupport channel is not enabled, there may be interruption to DialHome functionality.  Enable the RemoteSupport alert channel to restore DialHome functionality.

RemoteSupport (isi remotesupport) is enabled, and the cluster is running a version of OneFS 8.1 or later.
In OneFS 8.1 and later, SRS (isi esrs) is the recommended method for remote support functionality.
Review the 'Remote support' section of the administration guides for OneFS 8.1.2.0 for details on how to enable this functionality.

In OneFS 8.1 and later it is recommended to use the SRS (isi esrs) method for remote connectivity.  Review the 'Remote support' section of Web/CLI administration for the current OneFS version for details on how to enable the cluster for the SRS (isi esrs) method for remote connectivity.

Additional Information

To run only the DialHome & Remote Connectivity check and gather additional details, run IOCA with the additional arguments: -e --run=checkSRS

The following is an example:
