Connectrix Cisco: Switch is uitgeschakeld vanwege kernelpanic

Summary: MDS-switch was uitgeschakeld en niet opnieuw geladen na kernelpanic. Een gebruiker moest de switch handmatig inschakelen.

Symptoms

De uitvoer van Stack-Trace toont slechts vijf van de zes CPU's online, waardoor Switch offline was en niet opnieuw werd geladen.

Cause

Een van de CPU's was offline, waardoor de Switch werd uitgeschakeld.

 

Resolution

Permanente oplossing:

  • Als niet alle zes CPU's online zijn, vervangt u de switch en zorgt u ervoor dat de nieuwe switch wordt uitgevoerd op NX-OS v8.4(1a) of hoger.
  • Als alle zes CPU's online zijn, moet u de firmware upgraden naar NX-OS v8.4(1a) of hoger om herhaling te voorkomen.

Dit is alleen van toepassing op Cisco MDS-9396s-switches.
