Для створення рівня кешу (або додавання диска до існуючого рівня кешу) в режимі пулу зберігання, такому як DD6400, знадобиться атрибут "force" в команді "storage add" для завершення створення томів кешу.  Без атрибута "force" в команді "storage add", кеш-диск залишається в стані "Доступні диски (v)", і рівень кешу не буде створений, як показано нижче.  
  
MMM DD HH:MM:SS hostname> -ddsh: NOTICE: MSG-DDSH-00009: (tty=pts/0, session=4924, client_IP=XX.XX.XX.XX) sysadmin: command "storage add disks 1.3 tier cache"

Резолюція:

Якщо кеш-диск був доданий без атрибута "force" і його стан показує "Available Disks (v)", виконайте наступне:
1. Підключіться до системи Data Domain через SSH за допомогою облікового запису sysadmin.
2. Виконати команду: Filesys розгорнути

Це створить рівень кешу, який тепер з'явиться при використанні команди Показати все сховище
