The Latest Version of Alienware Command Center Must be Installed to Use Alienware Gaming Headsets

There are two scenarios in which AWCC must be installed before using Alienware gaming headsets:
Scenario 1:
If the user is connecting the Alienware Gaming Headset for the first time to the computer, AWCC is auto installed with the latest version. The notification below is displayed if the computer has an older version of AWCC 6.x or AWCC is not installed on the computer.

Once the notification reaches 100%, the AWCC installation is completed.
Note: Dell Technologies recommends restarting the computer after installation has been completed.
Scenario 2:
If a user has AWCC v5.x or earlier installed, the following message is displayed:

Cause
This is working as designed.
Resolution
To resolve scenario 2:
- Click Update Now to proceed with installing the latest version of AWCC
- Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update
- After successful installation, a computer restart is required
