Removing the system board

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. base cover
   2. battery
   3. memory module
   4. SSD
   5. dock frame
   6. WLAN card
   7. WWAN card
   8. heat sink assembly
   9. coin cell battery
3. To remove the display assembly cable:
   1. Unroute the WWAN and WLAN cables [1].
   2. Remove the screws that secures the display assembly cable bracket to the system board [2].
   3. Lift the display assembly cable bracket from the computer [3].
   4. Disconnect the display assembly cable from the computer [4].
   
4. Disconnect the speaker cable [1], coin cell battery cable [2], LED board cable, touchpad cable [3, 4], and power connector port cable [5].
   
5. To remove the system board:
   1. Remove the screws that secure the metal bracket to the system board [1]
   2. Lift the metal bracket [2].
   3. Remove the screws that secure system board to the computer [3].
   4. Lift the system board from the computer [4].
