Prepares a snapshot for a new point-in-time copy of a source device.

The CREATE commands must be in a separate job step from the DEFINE GROUP.

See LOCAL. Specify the LOCAL parameter only if you use the SYMDV# parameter.

NAME(snapshot_name[%date[{4|6|8}]%][%time[{4|6}]%])

See NAME. If the NAME(snapshot_name) parameter is specified in the GLOBAL command, it is not required in the CREATE command.
