DELETE VDG

The DELETE VDG command deletes the specified VDG definition. The VDG must be inactive.

With the zDP GLOBAL EXPortDEF option set to AUTO, if the SAVE option is not specified, the DELETE VDG command also deletes the corresponding exported VDG definitions from the Symmetrix File System (SFS).

Syntax

DELETE VDG vdg_name [,ALLOWNonEmpty] [,SAVE]

NOTE:VDG is an alias for VERSIONED_DATA_GROUP. You can also use optional parenthesis as follows: VDG(vdg_name).

Example

DELETE VDG EMCVDG1,ALLOWNE
