Create Remote connection

Remote connection is used to corelate the cluster address of the remote array along with the File control network of the current array. Once remote connection is established between both the arrays, the connection status shows as “UP” which means the replication sessions can be created further.

Once the File Control Network is established on both the sites follow the below steps to establish Remote Connection:

  1. Select Data Protection.
  2. Select File Protection .
  3. Click REPLICATION tab.
  4. Click REMOTE CONNECTION tab.
  5. Click Create.
  6. Continue to work through the Create Remote Connection wizard
    Option Description
    Create Remote Connection Wizard
    1. Enter a Name
    2. Enter the Remote Cluster IP Address
    3. Select a File Control Network
  7. Click on Run Now.
A Remote Connection is now Established.
