Replication PartialActive Workflow

Steps

  1. NOTE: If any failure occurs during the Stop Replication Session or Start Replication Session, the replication session enters the PartialActive state, and an Error dialogue box is displayed. The PartialActive state allows you to complete the workflow by either performing a Stop or Start replication workflow.
    To close the Error dialogue box, click OK.
  2. To view the details of the alert generated, click the hyperlink next to Alerts.

  3. Select the newly generated alert to view the details.

  4. Go back to the Replication Session page.

  5. Select the required replication session from the list view.
    Since the File Replication State is PartialActive, both the Start and Stop buttons are now activated.
  6. Click Stop or Start, depending on your original workflow where you had encountered the failure.
    The Stop or Start Replication Session dialogue box opens.
  7. Click OK to stop or start the selected replication session.
    A success dialogue box appears.
  8. To close the Success dialogue box, click OK.

Results

From the PartialActive state, the user can successfully complete the Stop or Start workflow.
