Replication PartialSwitchedover Workflow

Steps

  1. NOTE: If any failure occurs during the Planned Failover without Auto Start or Planned Failover with Auto Start, the replication session enters the PartialSwitchedover state. This partial state allows the user to complete the workflow by retrying the planned failover workflow ( with or without auto start).
    Go back to the Replication Session page.
  2. Click the session that was operated on.
    The session is in PartialSwitchedover state.
  3. To view the details of the alert generated, click the hyperlink next to Alerts.

  4. Select the newly generated alert to view the details.

  5. Go back to the Replication Session page.
  6. Select the required replication session from the list view.
    Since the File Replication State is PartialSwitchedover, the Planned Failover is allowed.

  7. Click Planned Failover.
    The Planned Failover of Replication Session dialogue box opens.
  8. Click Run In The Background to start the planned failover workflow.
  9. Go to the job list in the UI and click view all jobs.
  10. Click the hyperlink for details.

Results

From the PartialSwitchedover state, the user successfully completes the Planned Failover workflow.
