Removing the liquid cooler
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in
before working inside your computer.
WARNING:The liquid cooler may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the liquid cooler to cool before you touch it.
- Remove the side cover.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the liquid cooler and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Loosen the four captive screws that secure the liquid cooler to the system board.
- Remove the screw (M3x5) that secures the liquid cooler fan to chassis and slide it out of the slot.
- Disconnect the liquid cooler cable and the liquid cooler fan cable from the connectors on the system board.
- Lift the liquid cooler assembly out of the chassis.
