Removing the liquid cooler

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
    WARNING:The liquid cooler may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the liquid cooler to cool before you touch it.
  2. Remove the side cover.

Steps

  1. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the liquid cooler to the system board.
  2. Remove the screw (M3x5) that secures the liquid cooler fan to chassis and slide it out of the slot.
  3. Disconnect the liquid cooler cable and the liquid cooler fan cable from the connectors on the system board.
  4. Lift the liquid cooler assembly out of the chassis.
