Removing the power-supply unit cover

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.
NOTE:Note the routing of all cables as you remove them so that you can route them correctly while you are replacing the power-supply unit.

Steps

  1. Lay the system on the right side.
  2. Disconnect the power cable from the connector on the cover.
  3. Remove the two (M6x32) screws that secure the cover to the power-supply unit.
  4. Slide the cover away from the chassis.
  5. Lift the cover off the chassis.
