Removing the 750 W/1000 W power-supply unit
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the side cover.
NOTE:Note the routing of all cables as you remove them so that you can route them correctly while you are replacing the power-supply unit.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the power-supply unit and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Lay the system on the right side.
- Disconnect the power cables from the connectors on the system board and unroute them from the routing guides on the chassis.
- Remove the four (M6x32) screws that secure the power-supply unit to the chassis.
- Slide the power-supply unit away from the back of the chassis.
- Lift the power-supply unit off the chassis.
