Installing the VR heat sink
Prerequisites
NOTE:VR heat sinks are only required for systems with an 8 core 65 W CPU, a 6 core 125 W CPU or an 8 core 125 W CPU.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the VR heat sink and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Remove the liner behind the VR heatsink modules.
NOTE:Step one is only applicable for new installation or an upgrade. For replacing an existing component, follow the procedure from step two.
- Adhere the VR heatsinks on the system board.
- Tighten the four captive screws that secure the VR heat sinks to the system board.

- Install the side cover.
