VMware vSphere 7.x on Dell PowerEdge Systems Release Notes
ESXi version is displayed incorrectly in iDRAC post performing VUM-based rollup bulletin upgrade
- Description
- Post rollup bulletin upgrade of existing 7.x host to the latest ESXi 7.x version, iDRAC summary page shows incorrect operating system name. This issue is observed when upgrade is done using VUM with rollup bulletins method and other upgrades will not be impacted.
NOTE:Rollup bulletin upgrade is not supported between major ESXi version upgrade releases.
- Workaround
- Verify the ESXi name and version in summary section of Host Web Client or vCenter Web Client (or) login to ESXi host, and run the below commands to check the ESXi name and version:
