Upgrading to ESXi 7.0 from earlier ESXi version fails
- Description
- Upgrading ESXi 6.5.x or ESXi 6.7.x to ESXi 7.0 fails with an error pointing to driver modules dependencies.
- Workaround
- Your Dell EMC customized VMware ESXi 7.0 A00 image must be installed as a new installation or deployment. Use the VMware ESXi 7.0 A02 image for upgrading from previous ESXi versions. It is not recommended to use ESXi A00 image to upgrade from previous VMware ESXi versions such as ESXi 6.7.x or ESXi 6.5.x. See VMware Knowledge Base article 78487 and Dell Knowledge Base article SLN320957.
