At Dell Technologies, we believe that purposeful action, no matter how small, contributes to driving progress for people and our planet. That’s why we’re making it easier than ever to recycle your used electronics.
E-waste, or electronic waste, is a growing challenge. For more than 20 years, Dell Reconnect, in collaboration with Goodwill Industries, has helped keep e-waste out of landfills. Since 2004, we’ve diverted 650 million pounds¹ – and with your participation, we can responsibly recycle even more.
Expanding our impact
Today we’re excited to continue this mission and expand our partner network by launching a pilot with the Salvation Army in Las Vegas. Aligned with International E-Waste Day, our new collaboration increases the program’s footprint, providing Nevada locals with more convenient and accessible drop-off locations to responsibly recycle their electronics.
How it works: Simple, secure and free
Ready to clear out that clutter and support e-waste recycling? Getting involved is easy.
-
- Gather Your Electronics: Collect any old computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, and other computer accessories. We accept any brand, in any condition.
- Wipe Your Data: For your security and peace of mind, be sure to erase all personal data from your devices before dropping them off.
- Drop It Off: Visit one of the five participating Salvation Army donation centers in the Las Vegas area or participating nationwide Goodwill locations. Just bring your items, and we’ll handle the rest – completely free of charge. Note that your donation is also eligible for a tax deduction, making it a win for your wallet and the environment. Find your closest donation location here.
Driving positive change together
This partnership is about more than just recycling. It’s about creating lasting, collective impact. The Salvation Army is one of the largest social service providers in the United States, committed to serving people in need in every community. Their mission of “Doing the Most Good,” aligns with our purpose to create technology to drive human progress.
The Salvation Army operates a successful network of Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARCs) across the nation. These centers provide vital emotional and social assistance to individuals facing life’s challenges, offering a path to regain health and stability through work therapy, counseling and life skills development.
In 2024 alone, The Salvation Army’s ARCs in Southern Nevada provided recovery services to 407 individuals. By donating your used electronics, you can help support these programs in your community.
