Symptoms

The Panel Self-Refresh (PSR) option is missing from the Intel graphics software UI on Alienware Laptops after installing the Intel graphics driver. (version 32.0.101.7026)

Steps to locate the PSR option:

  • Open the Intel Graphics Software application.
  • Select Display.
  • Scroll down to Power Saving.
  • The PSR option is missing.

Affected Platforms:

  • Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250
  • Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251
  • Alienware 16 Area-51 AA16250
  • Alienware 18 Area-51 AA18250

Affected Versions:

  • Intel-Graphics-Driver_J26CF_WIN64_32.0.101.7026_A02.exe

Cause

This is due to an issue with the Intel Driver version.

Resolution

Update the Intel graphics driver to the most recent version available:
