Symptoms

The Dell Universal Dock UD22 fails to display an image using DisplayPort (DP) to specific external MST monitors. This issue occurs when the monitor is connected to port 1 and the monitor is configured with MST. When configured this way, the symptom appears after the computer resumes from Hibernate (S4) and shutdown (S5) mode.

Cause

The Dell Universal Dock UD22 does not support MST enabled monitors.

Resolution

Do Not Replace Any Hardware.

This is expected behavior. Guide the user to disable MST in the Onscreen Display (OSD) of the monitor (Figure 1).
