Symptoms
The capacitive touch function row may not be responsive when the computer is used under excessive heat or after waking from sleep. Auto-brightness function on the capacitive touch function row may also not correctly adapt to the backlight environment.

Cause
BIOS and embedded controller modification is required to add self-initialization after waking from sleep.
Resolution
Updating to BIOS version 2.17.0 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, reference Dell BIOS and UEFI Updates.
