To move a File System agent from one
PowerProtect Data Manager system to another
PowerProtect Data Manager, perform one of the following procedures:
Steps
Delete the asset source from
File System agent, which stops the agent services.
On the
File System agent host:
Uninstall the
File System agent, which uninstalls the agent services.
Delete the
install_dir\dpsapps folder.
Install the
File System agent and provide the
PowerProtect Data Manager IP address during the installation.
If you do not want to uninstall and use the existing installation and connect to the new
PowerProtect Data Manager server, perform the following to move a
File System agent to a new
PowerProtect Data Manager system:
Steps
Remove the following files and folders from the
File System agent host: dbs, ssl, config, and logs.
Using the
Change option in the Windows installer or run
install.sh on Linux or AIX and provide the IP address or FQDN of the new
PowerProtect Data Manager system for registration.
