Removing the Global Positioning System (GPS) module

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
  3. To remove the GPS module:
    1. Disconnect the USH cable from the GPS module [1].
    2. Peel the tape that secures the GPS antenna cable [2].
    3. Disconnect the GPS antenna cable from the module [3].
    4. Disconnect the USB cable from the GPS module [4].
    5. Pry the retention latch to release the GPS module [5].
    6. Lift the GPS module from the computer chassis [6].
