Removing the system fan

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
  3. To remove the system fan:
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the system fan to the computer chassis [2].
    3. Lift and remove the system fan from the computer chassis [3].
