The SRDFA_R1_TARGET parameter specifies how SRDF/A R1 devices are to be used if they are designated as target devices.

The SRDFA_R1_TARGET parameter can be specified on the GLOBAL and LINK commands. It has a matching site option &SRDFAR1.

Syntax

SRDFA_R1_target(Yes|No|DATAMOVERNaMe|PHYsical|INFormational)

Options

INFormational

Allows SRDF/A devices to be used as target devices and allow the operating environment to copy the track contents. An informational message is generated when R1 devices are targets.

No

(Default) Prohibits SRDF/A R1 devices to be used as target devices. Also generates an error message when an R1 device is the target.

Yes

Allows SRDF/A R1 devices to be used as target devices. A warning message is generated when an R1 device is the target.
