Validating command sequence in NORUN mode
The requester can validate the command sequence in NORUN mode before submitting it for approval. NORUN mode enables you to verify command syntax without running the command sequence in the zDP environment.
To use NORUN mode:
- With the zDP Definition Utility, specify the NORUN(YES) parameter on the GLOBAL command to issue zDP commands in NORUN mode.
- In the zDP ISPF interface, the NORUN option is available on the Specify the Session parameters panel and panels that show additional options for a command to be run. For example, the Specify additional options for LINK command panel shows the NORUN option.
