Installing a front fan module

Steps

  1. Insert the fan module into the fan bay.
  2. Push the fan module into the fan bay, until it locks into place.
    NOTE:Ensure that the green LED on the fan module is illuminated, indicating that the module is functioning properly.

    NOTE:The cooling fan modules are hot-swappable.
    CAUTION:To maintain proper cooling while the system is active, replace one fan module at a time.
    CAUTION:To maintain proper cooling while the system is active, ensure that you install the replacement fan module within 30 seconds.
