Installing a power supply unit

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.

Steps

  1. Push the PSU into the enclosure until it is seated firmly.
  2. Close the PSU release lever to secure the PSU in the bay.

Next steps

  1. Connect the power cable to the corresponding PSU connector on the rear of the chassis.
    NOTE:When installing or hot swapping a PSU, wait for 15 seconds for the system to recognize the PSU and determine its status. The PSU redundancy may not occur until discovery is complete. Wait until the new PSU is discovered and enabled before you remove any PSU. The PSU status indicator turns green to indicate that the PSU is functioning properly.
