Configure the VPN Manager

VPN Manager is included to manage Virtual Private Network connections. ThinOS uses the OpenConnect client that is based on the SSL protocol for connecting to a VPN.

1. From the desktop menu, click System Setup > VPN Manager.
   The VPN Manager dialog box is displayed.
2. To create a session, click the + icon and do the following:

   

   1. Enter the name of the session in the Name field. This option is mandatory. The maximum character limit is 21 characters.
   2. Enter the IP address of the VPN server in the Server field. This option is mandatory and is defined as either an IP address or a hostname. The maximum character limit is 63 characters.
   3. Enter the login username in the Username field. This option is mandatory. The maximum character limit is 31 characters.
   4. Enter the password in the Password field. This option is not mandatory. The maximum character limit is 31 characters.
   5. Click the Auto-connection on system startup button to automatically connect to the VPN when the device restarts.
   6. Click the Show progress in detail button to display the VPN connection progress.
   7. Click the Show debug information button to display the VPN debug details for better troubleshooting.
   8. Click OK.

      When connections are created, the Auto column displays which connection is automatically connected when the device restarts. Only one session can be set to autoconnect.

3. Select a session and click Connect.
4. Click OK to save your changes.
