Barriers to digital transformation

While 85% of business leaders believe their people are their “greatest asset,” there is also a general consensus that people are not delivering on their potential. 64% report the failure of their digital transformation programs is often due to their people. Leaders have to tackle persistent people-related barriers spanning skills, leadership and culture.

To understand people’s readiness for digital change, we grouped respondents into four benchmark groups. Where people are on the benchmark correlates with how confident they are to advance in this hyper-digital world. Just 10% of respondents are chasing innovation and trailblazing technological change and nearly half are generally resistant to change.
