Symptoms

PowerProtect Data Manager logs:

Err: 5009 file-copy operation failed (nfs: "I/O" error)

Data Domain logs:

Failed to do a filecopy, err = [5029: rpc operation/function failure, ddr/repl/lrepl_client.c, filecopy_handle_scaleout, 14606]

The port 2051 is open between Data Domains. The replication process from PowerProtect Data Manager reaches 99%, but 0-byte data is transferred until failed after 20 times reties. 

Cause

Switch MTU: 1500
DD Network card MTU: 9000

Resolution

The MTU on the switch must be the same as Data Domain.
