Symptoms

在为 VMware ESXi 运行 Dell System Update （DSU） 2.0.0 时，在清点阶段会出现以下错误：

Inventory file not found - /scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/inv.xml
Progress report is available at:/scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/DSU_STATUS.json
Exiting DSU!

Cause

这是由于 DSU 尝试运行 Inventory Collector 模块导致的，而 VMware ESXi 本身不支持该模块。适用于 ESXi 的 DSU 2.0.0 必须始终在”passthough“模式，直接从 iDRAC（而不是从作系统上运行的 Inventory Collector 模块）收集固件资源清册。

Resolution

在本地控制台、通过 SSH 或从另一个 DSU 实例远程在 VMware ESXi 主机上运行任何 DSU 方法时，请始终添加以下命令行选项： 
--use-idrac-passthrough --source-type=REPOSITORY
