DELL RECOMMENDS - The fastest and easiest way to identify your product model and get personalized support is to let the Dell Support website detect your product or to enter your product's Service Tag. Or, if you prefer, you can select your product from a list. This third option provides general support information based on your product model rather than your individual computer's specs and capabilities.
- Look for the product label on your computer.
- Open the Dell SupportAssist application for Windows.
- Open the Windows System Information window.
- Access your computer's BIOS.
For most computers, you can find the product model number on a label or sticker that is on the outside of the case.
Laptops and tablets
The label may be on or near the:
- Bottom cover, base, or back of the product
- Battery compartment
- Screen, keyboard trim, or palm rest
Desktops and all-in-ones
The label may be on the:
- Back, top, or side of the tower case
- Lower back of the all-in-one case or stand
