Power Banks that are produced between January 04, 2017 and March 15, 2017 may have an incomplete end cap weld
Power Bank Adapter production from January 04, 2017, through to March 15, 2017 may have incomplete end cap welds. This can allow the end cap to separate in normal use. If the end cap comes off, it is possible to reach into the housing and touch internal components. If the adapter is connected to power, then a shock could result.
There have been no (zero) reported safety incidents resulting from this issue.
A voluntary replacement program is in place
Dell is offering a voluntary replacement of affected adapters.

The Field Quality Management (FQM) Execution team in coordination with the Technology Service Management (TSM) teams is proactively reaching out to those affected. To offer this solution through a proactive field replacement campaign.

The Part Piece Identification (PPID) serial number from the adapter is required.
