Wanneer de zelfstandige Dell Encryption Enterprise External Media (voorheen Dell Data Protection | De service External Media Edition wordt geïnstalleerd en een gebruiker probeert Dell Encryption (voorheen Dell Data Protection | Versleuteling) eindpunt kan een foutmelding ontvangen.

Het installatielogboek heeft deze fout:

Product: Dell Data Protection | Encryption -- -- MSI_LOGGING -- *** CInstallInf::ProcessInf -- Error calling SetupInstallServicesFromInfSection. file=C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell Data Protection\Encryption\CmgFFE\CmgFFE.inf, section=DefaultInstall.Services, flags=0x9, gle=0x430

Om dit probleem te voorkomen, verwijdert u de zelfstandige EME-service en installeert u Vervolgens Dell Encryption. Als de installatie van Dell Encryption al is geprobeerd en mislukt, zijn alle EME-onderdelen uit de computer verwijderd en kan de installatie van Dell Encryption opnieuw worden uitgevoerd zonder extra acties.
