Cause

The PNP ID is pulled from the device's driver information. Since the media card is not in the device driver information for the reader, Dell Data Security can only see the PNP ID for the USB media card reader itself, or no PNP ID at all if it is an onboard card reader.

Resolution

There is not a way to add SD cards or other media cards to the EMS Device Allowlist for Mac or Windows. An enhancement request has been filed with the DDS development team. No ETA is available for when this feature might be added.
