Symptoms

The system posts the following alert:

  • Event ID: EVT-ENVIRONMENT-00032
  • Event Message: The storage processor has failed
  • Object: Enclosure=1
  • Additional Information: Cause
    The alert includes one of the following causes:

Cause

Various hardware-related issues can trigger this alert. Sometimes, the fault may be transient, and the system may recover without intervention.
For example, a temporary voltage dip on the motherboard or CPU can cause the alert to be raised.

Resolution

 

⚠️Important: If the system shows an active indict, a reboot will not clear the alert. You must contact Dell Support to clear the indict.

 

To proceed:

  • Raise a Service Request at Dell Support

Dell Support will:

  • Investigate the root cause of the alert.
  • Determine whether the fault is recoverable or requires hardware replacement.
  • Clear any indicts and verify system health.
