Data Domain: Reinitialize SDPM after VOSS Module Replacement

Instructions
The SDPM must be reinitialized after the replacement of the VOSS or NVRAM module.
Applies to:
- DD9910, DD9410, and DD6410 after NVRAM (VOSS) module replacement
- PowerProtect Data Domain systems using SDPM on a VOSS module
- All supported Software (DDOS) versions
Required Actions:
Reinitialize the SDPM after replacing the VOSS module:
- Access the system BIOS: System BIOS > Memory Settings > Persistent Memory
- Set Sanitize All NVDIMMs to Enabled
- Set SDPM Memory Size to 32 GB
- Confirm SDPM sanitization and reboot.
- Allow the system to reboot to DDOS and then verify the SDPM by checking for NVRAM failure alerts and ensuring the file system is enabled.

Caution: It may take one to two minutes for the system to clear the NVRAM failure alert. # system show nvram Note: The battery must be at least 80% charged for the file system to start. # filesys status -- The Filesystem should be Enabled & Running
