Restore plan prerequisites
Review the following prerequisites before creating a restore plan in PowerProtect Data Manager for virtual machine restores:
- In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, ensure that the Virtual Machine asset type is enabled, and the vCenter Server where the virtual machines reside is added as an asset source.
- If the destination for the restore is a different vCenter Server, ensure that this vCenter is also added as an asset source in PowerProtect Data Manager.
- Perform a virtual machine protection policy backup of the virtual machines that you want to protect, and then go to to verify that the assets that you want to add to restore plans are protected.
