Install and configure a Windows-based compute-only node to PowerFlex

Use this procedure to install and configure a Windows-based compute-only node to PowerFlex.

1. Download the EMC-ScaleIO-sdc*.msi and LIA software.
2. Double-click EMC-ScaleIO LIA setup.
3. Accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Install.
4. Click Finish.
5. Configure the Windows-based compute-only node depending on the MDM VIP availability:
   • If you know the MDM VIPs before installing the SDC component:
     1. Type msiexec /i <SDC_PATH>.msi MDM_IP=<LIST_VIP_MDM_IPS>, where <SDC_PATH> is the path where the SDC installation package is located. The <LIST_VIP_MDM_IPS> is a comma-separated list of the MDM IP addresses or the virtual IP address of the MDM.
     2. Accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Install.
     3. Click Finish.
     4. Permit the Windows server reboot to load the SDC driver on the server.
   • If you do not know the MDM VIPs before installing the SDC component:
     1. Click EMC-ScaleIO SDC setup.
     2. Accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Install.
     3. Click Finish.
     4. Type C:\Program Files\EMC\scaleio\sdc\bin>drv_cfg.exe --add_mdm --ip <VIPs_MDMs> to configure the node in PowerFlex.
   • Applicable only if the existing network is an LACP bonding NIC:
     1. Add all MDM VIP IPs, and run the command to add C:\Program Files\EMC\scaleio\sdc\bin>drv_cfg.exe --mod_mdm_ip --ip <existing MDM VIP>--new_mdm_ip <all 4 MDM VIP>.
