Verifying atomic test and set settings
Prior to creating any datastores, verify the atomic test and set settings. Failure to do so can lead to data outages.
Steps
- Open an SSH session with the VMware ESXi host using PuTTY or a similar SSH client.
- From the CLI, type esxcli storage vmfs lockmode list.
- Verify that all ATS-capable datastores are configured with locking mode set to ATS (not ATS+SCSI).
