Operating system crashes on AMD Rome CPU-based systems and with Intel E810 NIC
- Description

Operating system crashes when installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.3 on AMD Rome CPU based systems and with Intel E810 NIC if the system has 256 logical CPUs.
- Workaround
- Pass nr_cpus=255 kernel command line parameter during and after installation. For more information, see Red Hat Enterprise Linux Knowledge Base article 5597881.
- Solution
- The issue is resolved in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4
