The version field in the output of the modinfo command for certain networking drivers is null

Description
The version field in the output of the modinfo command for certain networking drivers is null. As a result, the version field in the output of ethtool-i command is set to the version of the kernel. The output of the modinfo command is similar to the following:
modinfo -F version i40e
<no output>
Workaround
Use the following command to retrieve the version of the network driver:
modinfo <driver name> | grep rhelversion

Solution
The issue is resolved in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.5.
