Cause

Incorrect Endpoint configuration under CEPA/CAVA Server Registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EMC\CEE\CEPP\Facility\Configuration]

Resolution

Updated the Endpoint configuration accordingly, under CEPA/CAVA Server Registry.

Step 1 of 5: Login to your CEPA/CAVA Server as an Administrator

Step 2 of 5: Open the Windows Registry Editor (regedit)

Step 3 of 5: Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EMC\CEE\CEPP\Facility\Configuration]
Where Facility can be one of these three:
a) Audit
b) CQM
c ) VCAPS

Step 4 of 5: Create Registry Key  with value: <EndPoint_Name>@<IP_Address>
registry

Step 5 of 5: Restart the services on both CEPA and Unity NAS Servers:
On CEPA server:  service.msc > Stop and then Start the CEE Service
services

On Unity NAS Server: STORAGE > File > NAS Servers > NAS Properties (select the NAS Server) > Protection & Events > Events Publishing (uncheck box, and check box back)
nas_prop

Attention: Please note that each Endpoint will have different requirements.
If the software does not support a particular facility, it should not have an entry in the registry for it.
However, at least one of those facilities needs to be pointing to a valid service and address.

To know which facility your Endpoint supports, please contact your vendor.
