Sintomas
The NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) integration is configured with the vProxy Appliance. The Microsoft Virtual Machine App Agent enables application-consistent backups of Virtual Machines running Microsoft SQL Server. The backup of the VM fails, indicating that it failed to connect to the MSSQL Agent. The NetWorker Management Console (NMC) session details and session log shows:
Backup of the application "MSSQL Agent" on the virtual machine "VM_NAME" has failed.
Failed to connect to MSSQL Agent in "VM_NAME".
Failed to install vProxy Agent on "VM_NAME": Command 'C:\Windows\system32\msiexec.exe' terminated with exit code 1625.
Causa
The vProxy FLR Agent or MSVMAPPAGENT software failed to install\upgrade with Microsoft Windows exit code 1625.
Windows exit codes can be translated by running: net helpmsg exitcode

The system administrator must investigate potential conflicts preventing the vProxy from installing NVP packages.
- Ensure to perform the App consistent backup using the VM's local Administrator account or Domain Administrator user account.
- If an anti-virus is installed on the VM, disable it temporarily to see if it allows MSVMAPPAGENT to be installed remotely by the vProxy. Check with the anti-virus documentation to see if exclusions can be set to allow the MSVMAPPAGENT to install.
- Ensure that the SYSTEM account has "full control" permissions of the OS drive (C:\).
- Ensure that there are no local or domain Group Policy Management configurations which prevent the installation of the MSVMAPPAGENT.
- Check User Account Control (UAC) and Advance Administrative Mode (AAM) configuration settings on the VM.

Workaround:
The FLR Agent and MSVMAPPAGENT can be manually uninstalled and installed on the target VM.
1. Log in to the VM with an administrative account.
2. Go to Programs and Features and check to see if the EMC vProxy FLR Agent and VM app agent for Microsoft Applications are installed.
3. Uninstall the FLR agent or VM app agent if installed.
4. Use an SCP agent (FileZilla, WinSCP, so forth) to connect to the vProxy with the admin account.
