Backplanes supported on Precision 7960 Tower
Precision 7960 Tower supports three types of backplanes or cables for different storage devices such as SATA, SAS, and NVMe. If the storage device is not connected to backplane or cable appropriately, the operating system may not be able to recognize the storage. Hence, it is recommended to check if the flex bays are connected with the correct supporting cable before upgrading or modifying a storage device.
