Removing the Thunderbolt 4 PCIe card
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the left-side cover.
- Remove the air shroud.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the Thunderbolt 4 PCIe card and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Push the PCIe latch to open the PCIe door.
- Disconnect the Thunderbolt 4 PCIe cable from the connector on the system board.
- Unroute the Thunderbolt 4 PCIe cable from the routing clip on the chassis.
- Lift and remove the Thunderbolt 4 PCIe card away from the expansion-card slot.
- Align and place the PCIe filler into the PCIe slot and close the PCIe latch.
