Removing the slim optical-drive
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the right-side cover.
About this task
The following images provide a visual representation of the slim optical-drive removal procedure.
Steps
- Slide the release latch inwards to release the slim optical-drive module from the slot on the chassis.
- Slide and remove the slim optical-drive from the slot on the chassis.
- Pry and slide the slim optical-drive latch from the optical-drive bezel.
- Remove the slim optical-drive away from the slim optical-drive latch.
