Removing the powered graphics-card
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the left-side cover.
- Remove the air shroud.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the powered graphics-card and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the PCIe-power cables from the connector on the graphics card.
- Route the cables through the slots on the PCIe holder.
- Push the PCIe latch to open the PCIe door.
- Push the PCIe-holder latch upwards to release the PCIe-card bracket.
- Lift the graphics card away from the graphics-card slot.
- Slide the PCIe-holder latch down on the PCIe holder and push the PCIe latch to close the PCIe door.
