Backup fails and hangs when NMC user has insufficient privileges
Workaround
For a snapshot backup, if any of the following NMC user privileges are missing, the backup fails and hangs.
- Configure NetWorker
- Operate NetWorker
- Monitor NetWorker
- Operate Devices and Jukeboxes
- Recover Local Data
- Backup Local Data
- Backup Remote Data
Simultaneously, NMC displays the following error message:
nsrd NSR info Snapshot Management Alert: Backup of [/db_logs/newlogs/NODE0000/LOGSTREAM0000] failed: Backup failed. User does not have sufficient privileges on the Networker server db2-rh71-dpf3
Stop the action manually and retry after providing sufficient privileges to the NMC user.
