Prerequisites and support for VNX configurations
Install Unisphere host agent, Navisphere CLI, and Snap CLI on the application host and the snapshot mount host. Storage array specific prerequisites provides details.
NetWorker supports the following backup technologies on VNX Block storage arrays:
- Copy on Write (SnapView COW/snapshot)
- MIRROR (SnapView Clone)
- VNX-SNAP (VNX Snapshot)
- VNXe-SNAP (VNXe/VNXe2 Snapshot)
NOTE While configuring a Solaris client (with Veritas) for a VNXe Snap backup, you must disable the Veritas controller on the proxy host. Use the following command to disable the Veritas controller:
vxdmpadm -f disable ctlr=c4
